The Natural State of Humankind

The natural state of a mankind is unisonant. A being of perfect flow. Every one of its talents in perfect harmonious flux, every mental and physical propensity complementing every other.

So what has happened to us?

In perfect understanding our essence still arrives in this dense world of matter, unsullied and pure. But there was a time when our perfection lasted long after our conception. Our blessed human experience, once smooth and rewarding, has lurched into perfunctory wastefulness and misery.
Once upon a time, when humans walked free upon the earth, when animals were respected companions and a source of mystery, entertainment, devotion and experiences…not food; people amused themselves listening to poetic stories describing the motions of life, heaven and Earth. People lived a life that still breathes softly within the imagination of man. Their dreams travelled to the heavens as they marvelled at bright and twinkling lights that blessed their nightly wondering and they honoured them with the names of their beloved animal companions. How long mankind enjoyed its honeymoon on Earth we don’t know. Somewhere behind the place we call 'nowhere' greedy minds watched intently.
Everything communicated with everything else. They were all One. Every child could hear the voices that whispered between rocks. Nothing was abused or taken without consent because everything was everything else. If you needed a home a mountain could open to shape what it knew you wanted. Men laughed and the earth sang. Everything flourished. People loved their beautiful Earth home as it was. The world was everything. But it wasn’t, it isn’t! And soon there came a time when they would confront something they had no words for. They even had no conception of that word confront. So alien was it to their awareness, that when it came they called it evil the very opposite of what they knew, what they did naturally – live. They knew not the word ‘unexpected’ because they lived in a world without secrets. But others knew it. And humans would come to know it too. At that tock between now and then they came. Silently, out of the shadows that divide here and there, slipped those who some have always called ‘the Old Ones’.
