Well there you have it. What do you suppose would have happened if little Jane had died after that vicious clubbing? Perhaps headlines in the newspaper and on the tv news about a little girl who mysteriously disappears never to be seen again; her grieving and distraught parents, relations and family friends wheeled out before an understandably gullible and outraged public. If Jane's horrific account is true it urges us to consider a different perspective when children disappear. Her revelations will be eye-opening to some and unconscionable to many. But similar accounts are being reported from all across the world, hundreds, if not thousands of them. Some, where investigators have done their job, (or more often, I venture, been allowed to) have proven to be true.
Hidden hands have managed on innumerable occasions to lose evidence, cover up crimes, pervert the course of justice and generaly discredit truthful accounts and accusations.
