On Friday morning I drove down to Avebury and Glastonbury en-route to Cornwall. The Crop Circle symposium was under-way in Glastonbury. Hamish Miller was speaking and, as I have always wanted to hear the guy, I bought a day ticket (£30). I ended up spending the day there. Hamish is a delightful and knowledgeable man - on some points. His recording of crickets singing to each other is an indescribable joy, one that I sincerely urge everyone to hear.
I'd actually decided after the last Glastonbury symposium not to go again. I always feel as if my energy has been sucked out of me - and this time was no different. I find that many of the people there, as well as in the streets of the town, are stuck in the 60s. The gathering is as clicky as a Tom-beat and how some of them get their egos in there is an enigma worthy of a mysteries conference of its own. Not everyone, of course, there are some real free-flowing searchers there too.
Late in the day a local band, "Silver in the Tree", I think they were called, played a few of their songs. Nice stuff, but were they aware of the large black entity that swooped in through the window, like a bat on a night-hunt, during their performance? I had the impression it was preying on the energy in the room, perhaps the spirits of past attendees as well, recognised as orbs.
The highlight, for me, besides Hamish's cricket aria, was the Q&A session at the end. Some of the participating speaker's perceptions seems to be shifting away from nuts and bolts and who did them, hoaxers, and all that crap - about time, and very welcome to this young/ancient traveller. (see latest article ~ Crop Circle Predictions.) One young guy, on the panel, wasn't a speaker but was 'on the door'. I didn't catch his surname but his first name was Jason - he impressed me greatly. Maybe the old guard are moving on - I hope so.
Eventually I made it down to Cornwall to spend a very pleasant time with friends. On Sunday afternoon Dave Gilham (who runs the Cornwall UFO Group) and I went exploring some of the many sacred sites of the southern peninsular. Driving up a steep lane we met a cat. Dark grey it was, not much bigger than a mouse. Its back was arched and it looked straight at me. Dave missed it unfortunately, so did the car, fortunately.
Dave's got another great conference this year. If you fancy a trip to one of the most beautiful parts of Albion's sacred Isles, where mystery and magic can manifest at any moment; and also go to one of the friendliest and best organised conferences in the country, then I recommend you haul yourself, your family and your friends down to Cornwall and Truro, and be there for 14th October.
The Goddess sings again in the fields of South Oxfordshire.

"The Inquest into Princess Diana’s death will be a whitewash, it was feared last night.
Sources close to the inquiry say the Establishment is lining up a tame High Court judge to deliver the “right” verdict."

"The following article is what is known as a “limited hangout”. It admits that Dr Kelly’s death may not have been suicide but this is largely because Norman Baker’s dogged persistence has unearthed facts that simply cannot be refuted. As a result to deny that Dr Kelly took his own life might soon be to invite accusations of wilful blindness.
However, the objective of the “limited hangout” is to establish credibility and then use it to conceal even bigger crimes."

More pieces to the jigsaw that was the film Eyes Wide Shut
The writer takes a point of view in this well-written article and there are one or two mistakes.
For example he says that the playing card suit 'Clubs' accords with the Tarot's 'Pentacles'. It should be 'Wands'. For the major part it is an interesting and enlightening piece and a valuable contribution to research into this astonishingly revelatory and important film that cost Stanley Kubrick his life.

"If you write anything about Newsnight, or about me, on a blog I'll probably find it via Technorati....
The thing I find strange about all this is that often people who write blogs, or contribute to them, somehow think that they are involved in a private forum."
There you go, if you want the Beeb, or any of the other media organisations (or whoever) to know something, then give them a mention on a blog. Don't forget to mention them by name if you can.

With what is going on in the maniacal cesspit of the Middle-East some might think this item is an irrelevance; but it is not. This is yet another sign, and an extremely alarming one, of a final surge towards the desolation of our world. That the chemical companies are also owned by the same Darkness that drives and arms the lunacy of both sides in the sickening conflict illustrates the pincer actions it increasingly employs.

"Using Joseph Conrad’s metaphor of “Hearts of Darkness”, in this free public lecture leading philospher Professor María Pía Lara will explore the question of how such a metaphor best describes our current historical notion of human cruelty (evil) through models of political judgment. She reviews some important theoretical concepts provided by Hannah Arendt and her models of evil: as radical and as describing the perpetrator of a crime as “the banality of evil”.
I may be wrong but the lecture, appears to be on how humans are an evil bunch of ne'er do wells; which, as you know, I profoundly disagree with. Still it's good to hear another perspective.
You might want to visit, or revisit, this interview with a survivor of satanic abuse in just this very area of Perth.

This one has been a long time in being taken seriously by researchers locked on Wiltshire etc.
One report said it was in grass - it is in wheat.
Lucy Pringle has done the business. Good on ya Lucy!
There's a big story regharding the dearth of crop circles in the UK this year that I am working on. I hope to have an article up on it in the not too distant future.
Here's a cracking resource.

You know how you open your email and one of your friends or acquaintances has passed along a plea to sign some petition or broadcast an appeal for a missing child among your other contacts. Well, hold on just a moment before you do because a huge percentage of them are crap.
When you get one of these appeals at least check this site: www.snopes.com
They investigate the story and publish the results. There may be other websites doing the same thing too - whack the subject in Google an' see what comes up.
These rumours are just another way to divert and concern us, waste our time and cause us to look the other way. They also give us a false sense that we are doing something worthwhile. A Dark device indeed.
