I'm not so sure about Stewart saintliness. I am sure that JamesV was King of Scotland when an ancestor of mine, Thomas Forret, was burnt at the stake outside Edinburgh Castle. His crime? The enormous promise of this Beltane sun carries more than enough energy to conquer the decomposing vitality of this waning moon, the Cailleach.
