.THE WEST AUSTRALIAN ARTICLES |
|||||||||||||||||
From 7th May to the 12th May 2001 West Australian newspaper reporter, Tony Barrass wrote a series of articles on what they are still calling 'The Claremont Serial Killings.' Although there was very little new information in the articles the high profile coverage is sure to stir the slumbering readership. Perhaps someone who has sat upon vital information will consequently be moved to unburden their conscience. In the course of his articles Mr Barrass interviewed Mr Glennon, father of Ciara Glennon, Mr Rimmer, father of Jane Rimmer and the main suspect. Some interesting details concerning a group of wealthy businessmen and businesses emerged. Tony Barrass writes, " ...there has been another less-publicised, behind the scenes hunt to catch the person or persons responsible for the Claremont serial killings. It involves big names, big business and very deep pockets." |

Which is very interesting to me. Recently I have met and interviewed a person who has described in vivid and horrific detail their abuse at the hands of well-known business people and professionals in Perth. This person has named some of the perpetrators, the dates and the places and also describes how they were present as a child at the ritual abuse and murder of others at various locations around the area. Further the witness maintains that a previous experience with the police on a matter concerning a friend has made them very wary about who to trust in the police force. The witness came to me because they had been made aware of my research and had been maintaining from the outset their feeling that the same people who had ritually abused them were the perpetrators of the so-called 'Claremont serial killings'. I am confident that the witness is telling the truth. For the safety of the witness I have deliberately omitted their details; even though the witness insists that they are fully prepared to go public and indeed wishes to do so. A similar account has also been related to me by an elderly woman from outside Perth. Although this person describes circumstances in another part of Australia and in a different era she tells the same harrowing story, Satanic, sometimes ceremonial abuse by prominent and highly respected citizens upon children, adults and the elderly. |

I do not know many of the names of the Perth business people who make up The Secure Community Foundation which Mr Barrass mentions; consequently I am not aware of anyone in the group being part of the aforementioned ritual abuse cult. That someone in The Secure Community Foundation, has connections to the alleged cult is possible though. Just speaking hypothetically, what a great scam that would be, having your people in at the sharp end of an investigation under the guise of 'helping out.' Humanitarian and environmentally sympathetic organisations like Wesfarmers (Parent of Bunnings), banks, mining companies and brokers were all eager to join the SCF and fund the Macro Taskforce as the police operation is called. In a classic problem-reaction-solution scenario a plethora of street cameras have gone up in Claremont and other places-as if an obviously well organised serial killer or gang of disciplined and vicious maniacs would bother striking before the lens of security cameras. Any half-witted drongo would stay well clear of them. Even though for their own reasons Claremont seems to be an area that they cannot ignore cameras cannot be everywhere-yet. Already a young lady who was last seen in Claremont has vanished and has not been seen or heard of since November 8th 2000. The police maintain that the incident is unrelated to the Macro investigation, of course. |

The Secure Community Foundation has raised over $600,000 that has been used to update the police force's technological armoury. Every proposal for the purchase of new equipment has been approved. Mr Barrass says that even though there has been virtually no DNA laced forensic evidence (most likely none at all-how much do you need?) Macro still felt they needed state-of-the-art DNA testing technology, a Genetic Analyser. The State Government (taxpayers) coughed up half of the cost of the Frankensteinian-sounding contraption, which is now ensconced at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Although it runs burning hot analysing the genes for other purposes it has been a fizzer so far for Macro. The SCF has funded several trips to Perth for international 'experts' including ex-FBI polygraph operator, Ron Homer twice and profiler Professor Parke Deitz from the University of Virginia. Six other international maestros have waved their credentials at Perth Airport to no avail. Other wiz bangs funded by the SCF include a new fast-track computer system, video re-enactments and media advertising campaigns. Mr Barrass reports that the SCF still has $150,000 left in the kitty and that contributions have ceased. |

The Secure Community Foundation was born shortly after Ciara Glennon was taken. Her father Denis Glennon's company Environmental Solutions International chipped in $50,000, law firm Blake Dawson Waldron, where Ciara worked, another $100,000 and according to Mr Barrass, a who's who of the Perth business community provided the rest. The founders of SFC were Neil Fearis, who at the time was with Blake Dawson Waldron and Denis Glennon. They enlisted Anti-Corruption Commission chairman Terry O'Connor who became chairman of the Secure Community Foundation, top lawyer, Julie Bishop, now a Federal Liberal MP, Michael Chaney, Wesfarmers boss and top number-cruncher Peter Middleton to the board. Mr Glennon declined. In his article on Friday 11th May Tony Barrass says, "to avoid perceptions that private citizens had undue influence in the investigation, the foundation was structured so that the police would initially fund outlays and then be reimbursed." |
